Why do you always use Vim as a file editor?

Yes, there are easier and possibly better file editing apps in Ubuntu such as Nano.
I use Vim because, the first time I ever set eyes on a Linux system, I asked google how to edit a file and the answer was to use Vim.
Over the years I have got that used to Vim, I see no reason to use anything else.
You don’t have to use Vim if you don’t want to, however if you’re working from the guide, it is probably better to use Vim to make following the guide easier.
